Our Financial Literacy Training Online program is designed to making FLT accessible to all Papua New Guineans.

MSME owners (and aspiring ones) can now access the training at your fingertips.

Who is Eligible for the Online Training? 

The Financial Literacy Training is recommended for the following people;

  • busy working class people;
  • those in remote parts of the country;
  • those who have missed out on our Nationwide Financial Literacy Training sessions; and
  • any MSME owner or aspiring business owner who is afraid of failing in business.

What is Covered in the Training? 

This training places its importance on strengthing small businesses in PNG so that owners could master the skills of managing their businesses confidently and bringing them success!

The topics covered in the training include;

  • Starting a Business;
  • Managing a Business;
  • Growing a Business to Success;
  • Financing a Business (SME Loans);
  • Online Marketing;
  • Scaling a Business & Growth Strategies.
  • Others…

The skills learnt in this training will, not only help manage your business properly but, also to help you to be eligible for opportunities to financing your business from grants and loans. This includes the Government’s SME Loans that are currently underway.

What are the Requirements?

This training is for anyone who has a passion for business. The three (3) main requirements are;

  • a Smartphone;
  • training fee of K280; and
  • communication level English (Grades 10 or above)

Training Fee

Participants can pay a one-off fee of K280.

This fee covers;

  • all your learning resources such as training mauals, videos, etc;
  • Certificate; and
  • hired trainers who will be interacting with you throughout the training.

Who are the Trainers? 

Our trainers are nationally certified and accredited by CEFI (Center for Excellence in Financial Inclusion) and the MSME Council.

They are trained by CEFI and have experiences in delivering Financial Literacy Training nationwide.

They will train you online and continue to mentor you throughout your business life.

What’s the Duration of the Training?

The training will be accessible purely online for as long as it takes. You can start anytime and complete the five (5) Modules at your own timing.

However, your video conferencing sessions will be arranged during your free times so our trainers will interact with you face-to-face for an hour twice a week.

Those video interactions will involve Questions & Answers sessions, discussions on your lessons, assignments, etc, and mentoring in areas that you might require help in.

How do I graduate? 

The training is competency-based and those who successfully complete the modules including the interactive sessions will graduate by receiving their certificates, by both post and email.

Our trainers will continue to mentor those who need help until they demonstrate competency in both the assignments and the interactive sessions.

How do I apply?

  1. Online SME Training is required as most of the SME Owners lives in remote parts of PNG.
    I for one is greatly in to acquire the skills but I cannot make it to big centres to attend trainings so please do conduct online training effectively

    Very interested to participate in this Online Financial Literacy Course. What about some us have already registered our companies that are currently operating? Even though some of us are not member to PNG SME but interested

  8. I am so much interested in the program however, due to work commitment and that I do not have the time to attend the training. In a short time from now, I will be retired from my work and I would like to register and obtain a certificate to start up a hire car business.
